Bob Daemmrich is a news, editorial, commercial and stock photographer based in Austin, Texas since 1979. He’s probably best known among ASPP members as a long-time supplier of top-notch textbook stock images, both directly to researchers and through The Image Works, PhotoEdit, Corbis, and Alamy. One of his newest clients is the online-only Texas Tribune (www.texastribune.org), which covers Texas politics and public affairs issues. As its contract photographer, Bob is covering Gov. Rick Perry’s campaign for the Republican presidential nomination. He was on the gubernatorial campaign trail with Perry and his opponents last year, and shot the recently completed Texas legislative session as well. His photos from the Capitol were featured in Texas Monthly magazine’s July cover story on 2011’s ten best and worst legislators.
