Karen Elliott Greisdorf
Karen Elliott Greisdorf is a photographer, writer and producer living in the Washington, DC area with her husband and their two daughters. Karen is passionate about using a variety of media to tell stories of individual and community based change so that others are inspired and encouraged to take action. Her coverage has taken her through several U.S. cities and overseas, most recently to South Africa and Romania. She is the producer of the award winning documentary Healing the Heart of America which profiles residents of Richmond, VA as they walk through their city’s history as the Capital of the Confederacy and the multimedia dialogue starter, it’s about TRUST. Closer to home her portrait and event clients include corporate and non-profit leaders as well as families with kids at all ages and stages. Karen hit the road in July to follow 18 Mississippian youth on a civil rights pilgrimage. She looks forward to sharing the stills and footage of the Writing A New History tour with the ASPP DC/South Chapter.
